Baby GIRL!!

Brooke and I just found out on Monday that we are having a baby girl!!! I am getting so excited to be a daddy. On Sunday I felt her kick for the first time and it was such a special moment. We will be naming her Jaydaka May Canfield.

Mothers weekend

Brooke's mom came down the weekend after mothers day for mothers day weekend at BYU-Idaho. We had a great time going with her to Island Park and hiking at the Coffee Pot's trail, shoping at West Yellowstone and enjoying Footloose at the playmill. It was a fun weekend.

Gardening

I thought that since I posted my first gardening attempts a few months ago that it was about time for an update. I now have a garden planted in my back yard. I asked my managers for permission and they never really got back to me so...I figured it meant "yes, go right ahead and dig up some of the back yard for your garden!" So I did. Gardening has helped me keep my sanity this semester and I have found that I love gardening! I look at my plants at least a couple of times a day and it always makes me happy. Brooke does all that she can to try and prevent me from buying more seeds, but somehow I always manage to buy just a few more.

Fish

We love fish! Fishing in Alaska is one of the coolest things that you can do. If you haven't been up there to try it then your life is simply not complete. Silver Salmon are so much fun to catch, they will run with the line, fight, jump out of the water, and make for a good show. We can't wait to get back up to Alaska and catch some more! The fish carcases that I have lined up in a row is what I did for my job with Fish and Game. We would collect them, separate them into male and female and then collect their ear bones. Fun fun!!

Halloween

We stepped it up a notch in overall scariness this Halloween with our vampire get ups. We especially loved Ruth's costume for the twins as Thing 1 and Thing 2 and Joys freaky joker outfit.

Alaska

Brooke and I spent 4 months up in Alaska after we were married in August and had a wonderful time. We worked a lot and had a great time with Mom, Dad, Ruth, Darius, the twins, and Joy. We miss it!!

Growing season

I recently made a trip to the evil empire aka. WalMart. As I was browsing I happened upon the gardening section and was instantly addicted!! So I bought a bunch of seeds to plant after all of the winter blizards have passed. This is my first plant that is sprouting there are little tiny Oregano sprouts coming up. Yummm Yumm!!!
